As its name suggests, the B&D Club is based in Belfast, Northern Ireland and is dedicated to the promotion of motorcycle racing events. It is affiliated to the Motorcycle Union of Ireland (Ulster Centre) which is the governing body of motorcycle sport in Northern Ireland.

In the past the club was best known for promoting one of the best Road Races in Ireland, the ‘Carrowdore 100’ which was held on the first Saturday of September every year. The club was also previously involved in trials, when we held an event at the Lead Mines outside Newtownards, County Down, although we haven’t promoted a trials event now for several years.

In more recent years however due to the demise of ‘The Carrowdore’, the Club has been associated mainly with the MCUI  Short Circuit Championship  with the B & D Events held at Kirkistown Race Circuit, County Down.

We are now probably best known for our promotion of the annual Irish Championship races on Easter Monday, and also The President Cup races on the first Saturday in June and the Crown Prince / King of Kirkistown Races on the 1st Saturday in September.

Due to a change in 2013, the format for Irish Short Circuits Events, the previously known ISB Championship & Clubmans Championship have  been amalgamated.  Now in it’s second year, The combined Championship is now known as the ‘Irish Short Circuit Championship’ or ISCC for short.

The B&D will continue to promote our 3 Irish Short Circuit Championship Events @ Kirkistown each year;  Easter Monday, the 1st Saturday in June and the 1st Saturday in September.
