Club Information Page
As its name suggests, the B&D Club is based in Belfast, Northern Ireland and is dedicated to the promotion of motorcycle racing events. It is affiliated to the Motorcycle Union of Ireland (Ulster Centre) which is the governing body of the sport in Northern Ireland.
In recent years, the Club has been associated mainly with Championship 'tarmac' racing at Kirkistown and a trials event held at the Lead Mines outside Newtownards. However, due to an environmental report identifying a high lead content in the area, the local council was forced to withdraw its support for the use of the land and therefore this popular event did not run in 2006.
We are probably best known for our involvement in the annual ISB Championship races on Easter Monday, we also run one or two other similar events during the racing season at Kirkistown, either a Clubmans or a further ISB round.
Where and When we meet:-
We usually meet every other week, either on Monday or Tuesday evenings at 8pm, in the Harland and Wolff Club, 8 Dundela Avenue, Belfast. Please contact us if you are interested in coming along - you will be assured of a warm welcome.
